Who Should Apply?

WE WELCOME A DIVERSITY OF APPLICANTS

The certifcate program will take place in English. Applicants are required a basic knowledge of English to communicate and discuss his/her/their work.

This two-month program, offered entirely online, is for sophisticated image makers as well as those from diverse backgrounds who want to use their experiences (as anthropologists, medical professionals, human rights lawyers, teachers, farmers, etc.) to make media that is authentic and useful.

Screen Arts School and Image Cafe are committed to encouraging aspiring non-fiction and documentary photographers, as well as visual storytellers working in multiple mediums, invested in making global change post-pandemic.

We believe that we need better conversations about the world around us, and to find opportunities to improve and fix it. We want to showcase stories, the ideas, emotions, and opinions of multiple voices and to encourage openings for activism that inform, entertain, and inspire action.
