Fred Ritchin and Image Cafe, are delighted to announce our first online certificate program, Image-Based Strategies For Social Change, a 16-week deep-dive into visual storytelling, which will take place in Spring 2021. Accepting applications now.

Image Café is a participatory community and salon for visual storytellers, multimedia artists, filmmakers, writers, editors, and creative technologists. You want to make a difference in a post pandemic world and shake things up. Members are encouraged to explore all visual storytelling mediums from analog to digital, from still to moving image, from print to multimedia, to think differently and to make a difference.

The Image Cafe community will enjoy monthly soapbox socials, critique groups and online portfolio reviews. Participants will share their ideas, skills, criticisms and passions with each other in small, informal groups. Mentors will provide feedback and advice. Presentations and discussions will happen and occur organically, in response to participants’ interests and projects.
